Nerve damage from repair surgery
« on: July 18, 2018, 01:12:22 PM »
Hi,
I'm nearly 4 weeks post-op, with stitches finally out and a second cast on (Evans osteotomy, removal of accessory navicular with PTT debridement and advancement, and repair of a cystic osteochondral defect of my talus). The OCD repair was arthroscopic, with Subchondryplasty and Biocartilage, and it apparently caused some nerve compression of the intermediate dorsal cutaneous nerve, which is making the outside of my foot and toes 3-5 tingle/burn/hurt. The doctor says it should resolve in a month or two.

I have 4 more weeks NWB, but at this point the nerve issues are the most bothersome.

Anyone else have a similar issue? How long did it take to get better?

Thanks!
